Preventive Conservation & Collections Care
Safeguard your collection from damage.
Through precise monitoring of temperature, relative humidity, and light levels, I provide detailed assessments and recommendations to mitigate climate-related damage. Preventive conservation efforts also include integrated pest management, expert advice on display, storage, and transit practices, and custom solutions like crates, frames, and backing boards. I offer condition reporting for mixed media collections and calculate appropriate light exposure to preserve the integrity of art objects in your collection. If appropriate, I will also consult with conservators of other specialties (i.e., books, paper, objects, etc.) to ensure that your collection receives the precise, holistic care it deserves. If another type of conservator would better serve your collection, I will encourage you to work directly with those conservators instead.
